Hello, thank you for stopping by. I gather you have received one of these bookmarks and is thinking what is this? Well it is just a new marketing campaign I have thought about to make something a little different from distributing boring flyers. Also I thought that it will be a useful thing to have a funky and colourful bookmark, plus you get to think about Serendipity Corner Photography.

I’ve given names to each of the bookmarks we’ve dropped in letterboxes today, have a quick browse on all the collection. Have lots of fun browsing, let me know what you think of them.

Trying to set myself apart and putting a twist into letterbox drops. Instead of distributing boring old flyers. I will walk around Coogee and/or Randwick blocks and drop some handmade bookmarks instead.

Simply Nora

Designed using a scrapbook paper KaiserCraft’s ‘To have and to hold’ range called ‘Eternity’ and Vandross red stripe ribbons. So how did I came about with the name ‘Simply Nora’?

Well I met this lady named Nora in flickr and her images just inspired me to create a bookmark with her style of photography. Her blog which is Black Dog Knits have some amazing imagery. All very simple in style which I love.

Is such a creative person, her amazing design just really inspires me. Her real name is Amy Butler go on click on her name and it goes directly to her website. Have a browse and you will totally be so in love by her fresh designs.

This bookmark is designed using Amy Butler’s designer scrapbook paper (so delightful and decadent…) and ribbons from Ribbons Galore . I only source the most colourful and gorgeous ribbons there is. And still in search for more ribbons actually.

Shabby Blue

Inspired by the shabby chic / french vintage style I’ve created this bookmark because of that look. I love the red & blue checkered colours. They are especially gorgeous as a throw rug and one of my favourite is the Laura Ashley range of checkered throw rug. They are just so gorgeous. I bought one when they had a half-yearly sale and got one for a bargain price of $20 usually $60 a piece. They sell quite well in ebay too.

Bookmark is designed using already cut up scrapbook paper that was given to me as a Christmas present last year and Vandross red checkered ribbons. Which I bought from the shop called Scrapbook by Design at Kensington. I love browsing at scrapbook shops, I just drool over the beautiful papers, embellishments, ribbons and books… ahhhhhhhhhhhhh….

Red Mint Stripes

I love the name of this bookmark and it’s exactly what it looks like too, unless of course you can name it better, ha ha ha. I think after making this one I will search for more minty looking scrapbook paper and red ribbons. Currently I buy my ribbons from Ribbons Galore and the paper from Scrapbook by Designs at Kensington.

Green and red complement each other so well, like Virgo and Cancer (i think…)

Ice Princess

This is my very first creation. I really love the white and red combination too. I used an acetate paper for this and quite honestly it’s one of the most expensive to make. Therefore I won’t be making many of these and if you’ve received one then you’re very lucky indeed.

I was going to make all my bookmarks like these style but when I went to my favourite scrapbook shop – Scrapbook by Design and enquired about the price of the acetate paper it was $4 a piece. Eiiiiiieeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyykkkkkkkksssssss. Considering I can buy an Amy Butler designer paper for just $1.50 ha ha ha. Anyway it was a really good exercise.

Sweet Licorice

It took me a while to put a name to this range. I actually have to ask my husband to think of name and he came up with Licorice. Because I wanted to make it sound yummy I added the word Sweet, hence the name Sweet Licorice.

I am not such a big fan of licorice, I think it tastes like soap! ha ha ha. However I love the name.

This range was designed using Bella Elegance Paperz and ribbons from – yes you got that right Ribbons a galore. Where else will I buy it from?

Green Cufflinks

I wanted to create a range that is not too girly, hence I called it Green Cufflinks and used some really nice embellishment studs to go with it. Paper used is Amy Butler designer range.

Oh I forgot to mention that the people who printed my bookmarks were City Printers. Been working with these amazing bunch of people for 8 years now (actually make that 7 years because I took 1 year maternity leave). Gosh is that how long I have been working for Travel the World? WOW.
